We are now inviting enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our event staff team and be part of the excitement during Canucks games, Warriors games, and concerts at Rogers Arena. We can’t wait to meet you! POSITION OVERVIEW: Quick Service Cooks have the opportunity to work and receive valuable training in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position. A typical shift includes: * Performing food preparation for Quick Service stations located on the concourse level with a focus on quality, food preparation standards and consistency * Implementing and enforcing sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the kitchen * Other duties as required REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays with various start times * Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs. * Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time * A strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM) * Experience in a high volume kitchen is an asset * Completion of Food Safe Certificate is an asset * Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit with a minimum of 8 months of validity remaining * This is an onsite role at Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver Vancouver is one of the most diverse cities in the world and Canucks Sports & Entertainment strives to create a workforce that is inclusive, equitable, and represents our beautiful, unique community. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays and be physically capable of lifting 40 lbs. Experience in high-volume kitchens and a Food Safe Certificate are considered assets.
